In this world, there are many vichitra (wonders) about the jivas. The jivas think:
1) This world belongs to me
2) My worldly relations are real
3) I am the ones who can fix this world
4) My country and my party is the best
5) The religion I was born with is the best, and so on…
But the fact is that:
1) Absolutely nothing belongs to us
2) Our relations in every birth are nothing but maya
3) All the worlds are perfectly being managed by the Lord
4) In every country we were born, we were thinking them to be the best
5) In different births, we adopted so many religions
These eternal truths can be found and realized only in the eternally revealed scriptures such as Gita, Bhagavatam, Vedas, and Upanishads. These say that due to the karmas, the jivas are wandering through unlimited worlds (brahmanda bhramite kona) born and dead, born and dead so many times!
Every time the jivas take birth in any world, the same moha (delusion) happens. While we do not own even a single dust particle of this world, we think that we are the owners. Who is the owner? Lord Krishna says clearly in the Bhagavad Gita that He is the owner:
ahaṁ sarvasya prabhavo
mattaḥ sarvaṁ pravartate
iti matvā bhajante māṁ
budhā bhāva-samanvitāḥ (B.G. 10.8 – Catur Sloka-1)
[Lord Krsna says, “I am the source of all the worlds – spiritual and material. Everything comes from Me alone and all work for Me alone. The wise who perfectly know this truth worship and serve Me alone with full heart.]
So, the first understanding of a jiva should be that we came to this world and born in a particular environment (world, country, family, father, mother, relation, religion, etc) was not by our choice but all were due to our karma. We did not plan or choose anything from any our choice. All have been forced upon us..
Actually we are here to learn our lessons to purify our hearts. This takes so many births and goes through many many religions, low to high. In this world, there are more than 200 religions. They are all meant for the jivas to elevate higher and higher. The fact is that jivas do not have any religion (Naimitika Dharma) attached to them. Every jiva emanated from Lord Krishna has only one dharma that is called Nithya Dharma (eternal nature) or Jaiva Dharma or also called Sanatana Dharma.
However, every religion (naimitika or temporary dharma) we see in any world is nothing but a step towards this Nithya Dharma. The eternal dharma of jiva is only one, not many. All religions are just steps to the same eternal dharma. All the jivas belong to the same one Lord, but may be called differently because of their levels. Eventually every jiva will get back to the spiritual world where they belong. It is just a matter of time.
Until we develop love and affection to Krishna, we have to be going through so many births with Naimitika Dharma religions that are manifested by the will of the same Lord. Eventually all these temporary dharmas are to be relinquished. This truth is clearly told by Lord Krishna as the conclusion and the Gita 18.66 reveals it:
sarva-dharmān parityajya
mām ekaṁ śharaṇaṁ vraja
ahaṁ tvāṁ sarva-pāpebhyo
mokṣha-yiṣhyāmi mā śhu-chaḥ (B.G. 18.66)
[Lord Krsna says, “Abandon all varieties of religions, and just surrender unto Me. I will
deliver you from all your sins and sinful reactions. Do not fear.”]
This verse should be written in gold letters because this is the conclusion. But hardly anyone understands the core of the verse from Lord Krishna. Beyond all the so called religions (naimika dharma) is the eternal Jaiva Dharma, which is:
jīvera svarūpa haya —
kṛṣṇera nitya-dāsa’
kṛṣṇera taṭasthā-śakti
bhedābheda-prakāśa …(CC Mad 20.108)
“The original nature or dharma of Jiva is to be an eternal servant of Sri Krsna”
The summary is that it is foolish to think that we are here to fix this world. Actually we are fallen down here as a temporary residence for important learning. But instead of learning our lessons, we are blaming other religions and forming so many parties and organizations and furiously fighting against each other. This is due to their poor knowledge. The shastras say that when a iva is deeply bound by maya, many ill effects manifest: hatred, greed, lust, anger, envy, possessiveness, and many bad qualities develop.
On the other hand, when one follows the highest dharma which is love and affection to Lord Krishna, that soul becomes very pure. It sees the real nature of the worlds and the jivas and becomes under the protection of Lord Himself.
So, ultimately we have to come out of the moha of sectarian religions. We should never get stuck in religions like a student who does not want to go to the next grade. Like we are not for just one school, we are not for the religions. The fact is that the different religions are like different schools. Thus, whether it is Hinduism, Christianity or Islam, or any religion, they are all created for reasons by the Lord. Without the will of the Lord nothing can happen. But we think that our religion is the only Sanatana Dharma and everything else is bad. Srila Prabhupada once said, “Many people think that we are Hindus which was a name given to demigod worshippers who think that they are the real sanatana dharma.. We are not Hindus or belong to any religion (naimitika dharma). We follow only the Nithya Dharma..”
So, let us not unnecessarily make others’ blood boil. If we do, we are actually incurring more sin than we came to suffer for it here. Lord Krishna created three kinds of miseries so that we can be educated to develop detachment from worldly attachments. He designed these worlds with: (1) problems due to body and mind, (2) problems due to neighbors and other living beings and, (3) problems by gods (nature).
So, Lord Krishna already designed this world to give us suffering for reasons for us to learn and develop detachment to the world but loving attachment to Him. We may leave this world today or tomorrow. Like a drop of water on the shaking lotus leaf, our lives are tottling.
As the owner of all these worlds, Lord Krishna knows how to run His worlds. Our only goal and purpose of the human birth is to develop love and affection to Him and go back to Him – and not to develop hatred against religions.
So, the one and only purpose of our Gokul Bhajan & Vedic Studies is to help the souls to develop ‘Pure’ Bhakti towards Sri Radha Krishna yugala and nothing else. This ananya bhakti is the one and only Nithya Dharma as per the scriptures, and this is the only mission given to me by my gurudeva, Nitya Leela Pravishta Om Sri Yuga Acharya Srila Narayana Maharaja. We are not affiliated or controlled by any organization or political parties! Attaining Krishna Bhakti is our only one goal. Only the most fortunate souls can come to us by the grace of Lord Himself when one develops interest in pure bhakti..
